Hello! Today, I will demonstrate the controls and
functions of our Motion Sensor. Inspired LED’s Motion Sensor is a convenient accessory which easily
combines with Inspired LED flex strips and panels to create the perfect
hands-free, low voltage lighting system for any home or business. Ideal for pantries, closets and drawers, this unique device
allows LEDs to be turned on and off in response to the motion of opening and
closing the door. Let’s get started! Included on your
sensor should be two female leads.
One will be
your input for your power supply and the other will be your output for
your LEDs. For this demonstration you’ll need a
power supply, an interconnect cable and an LED panel
or flexible strip. To get started plug the male lead from
your power supply into your input connector of the Motion Sensor. Use an interconnect cable and plug it
into the output connector of the motion sensor. For this example I’m using a small 4 inch interconnect
cable however, we offer cables in various sizes
and can even custom make one to fit your needs.
Plug the unused end of your interconnect cable into the input connector of your LED
panel or flex strip. The motion sensor will already be
activated, so your LEDs will turn on instantly. Use the adhesive foam located on the back if your motion
sensor to help aid in installation placement. Peel the foam and stick to the desired location. Use
the two included screws to enforce the Motion Sensor in place. The viewing eye has a 60 degree viewing angle with a 16 to 26 foot range so, be sure to install it in the direction where motions to be detected.
On the back your motion sensor you will
see a small time delay node. Use a screwdriver to adjust the time
delay between one and ten minutes. Your time delay will
regulate the length of time your LEDs will stay lit from when the
initial motion was detected. Here’s an example of our motion
sensor inside of a pantry. Notice the LEDs activate from the
motion of the opening door. There is no limit of where you can place
the motion sensor however, it is most commonly used in
pantries closets and locations where doors are often being open and closed.
Alright and that should do it! You should now know how to put together and install our Motion Sensor LED Terminal! If you
